SCORE: 76/100

It is always a pleasure to see a franchise improve from the first game to the second game. Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia improves so many things. It moves from a 12+ rating to a 9+ rating. Which will excite and interest families all over the world. Please bear in mind, even though Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia improves it is not perfect.

The graphics have a great look, and the stiff animations are forgivable. Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia is a vertical tower defense game, so expect violence. Players can use a variety of characters to kill off the attacking hordes. This includes magic, swords, arrows, and more. The attention to detail in the graphics is fantastic. I am not comfortable with watching magic burn away the wolf creatures though.

The music in Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia is inspirational and epic. The voice acting is fabulous. Thankfully Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia improves upon the language issues - somewhat. There are still crude jokes, and bad language that will exclude certain members of the family. Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia tries to be funny i certain areas. At times it hits the mark.

The first time a player plays through Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia on Novice they may think this hand held game is short. That is the beauty of Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia. There are multiple heroes to play through as. The different difficulty settings will challenge even the best gamer. Tons of items to find and use, as well as earn three gold stars on every level.

If you get into Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia you can play literally for weeks. I found a few quirks in the controls of Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia unfortunately. First off trying to pause at the beginning before the wave starts is frustrating. I had to let the clock tick down to a few seconds before pausing. Why would I want to pause? So I could think about where to place my troop buildings.

The key of Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia is maximizing the location of your troops. The strategy comes into play very quickly. Do I upgrade these troops, or add more of a certain kind? Another problem I had with Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia is the equipment screen. Adjusting armor was frustrating. This description box came up, and blocked where I wanted to put it. I eventually figured it out, after much irritation and frustration.

Players in Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia are in a medieval kingdom fighting off evil creatures. The goal of this game is to stop them. We place warriors to make sure they will not pass. Defender Chronicles II Heroes of Athelia allows for no negotiating. We have to kill them or we wind up losing the level.
