I'm a big comic book fan, so I'm EXTREMELY grateful to my bro-in-law for letting me know that the premiere of the new NBC series "The Cape" was playing last night. (Way to drop the ball, NBC marketing department.)

Review: "Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story" - Nintendo DS
Reviewed by RPG Master for FamilyFriendlyGaming
SCORE: 80/100
Certain franchises can go on and on for decades. Others need to be left for awhile so we can miss them. The Mario and Luigi role playing game franchise is sort of in the middle. Every so many years Nintendo releases a new one. Not quite enough time to miss it, and not close enough for the games to feel connected. The RPG Master went out and purchased this game because Family Friendly Gaming did not receive a reviewable copy. After playing this Nintendo DS game, this reviewer speculates - that decision may have been on purpose. Mario & Luigi Bowser’s Inside Story has some flaws. The first problem is having Bowser as the main character. This should be considered more of a Bowser role playing game than Mario & Luigi.

Review: "Sonic Unleashed" - Xbox 360/Wii/PS3/PS2
Reviewed by Luke for FamilyFriendlyGaming
SCORE: 56/100
Who out there thought we needed a darker Sonic video game? After all there are the Shadow games. Sonic Unleashed is Sega’s attempt to make Sonic part hack and slash, and part normal action levels. Sonic has been considered family friendly for a long time. Sonic Unleashed takes a stab at destroying that image. My hope and prayer is that after reading this review you will avoid Sonic Unleashed like intelligent people avoid the GTA games.

John 3:8-13 (see complete text below)
Nobody was more serious about his faith than Nick. He was the most popular and powerful spiritual leader in Israel. He took religion very seriously.
He was the Pope.
He was Mother Theresa.
He was the Dalai Lama.
And yet Nick had no clue how to get close to God. It's typical religion.

Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman star in this movie about two medieval knights who have agreed to take an alleged witch to a distant monastery to be tried and, if appropriate, ritually purged and executed in order to lift a plague cursing towns across the land.

Review: "Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings" - Nintendo DS
Reviewed by Frank for FamilyFriendlyGaming
SCORE: 66/100
The RPG Master was very excited to earn enough money to purchase Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings. Finally a new Final Fantasy role playing game on the Nintendo DS. And then the RPG Master started playing Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings. This game is part tactics, and part real time strategy. Capture these large squares and have espers (editor: in essence monsters) fight for you. If you have an esper or two die, then summon another one from these small pedestals. The shocking thing about these small pedestals is the game tells you to pray before them. So the first lesson the RPG Master gleaned from this game is to pray for demonic looking creatures who will fight other demonic looking creatures. You can also sick them on human characters, which is another part of the game. Crystals are another major aspect of Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings.

Review: "Alpha Mission II" - Playstation 3
Reviewed by Kimp for FamilyFriendlyGaming
SCORE: 69/100
Have you ever wanted to get into a space ship, and shoot a whole lot of aliens? If the answer to that question is yes, then you will want to take a look at Alpha Mission II. This Playstation 3 game is a port from the old NEO GEO. These space shooters used to be all the rage, but they have died down in recent years. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for this game, and I was given the privilege of playing it. Although I suspect our illustrious leader knew exactly what this game was like and subjected me to it.

Hey family! How’s it goin? This is ya dude Konviction! I’m back, fresh at cha! Glory to God for His provision!
At any rate, during the holiday I was blessed with the opportunity to chop it up at length with a gentleman of the faith, none other than Mr. Prodigal Son of Holy-Wood Records Corporation. The recent recipient of the Gospel Rap Artist of the Year Award at the Annual South Florida Gospel Music Awards, and a Billboard charting release entitled “Kingdom Swagga-Nomics”, early last year. Prod took time outta his extremely busy schedule to reveal his perspectives on life, ministry, and bizness. Now, for those of you who have never heard of this cat, beware, as he is far from your average Christian artist! With a unique flavor, a talented stable of artist in his Holy-wood fam, and above all, a powerful testimony and anointing over his life, I took full advantage of the opportunity to pick his brain and expose his movement to the World. Review: "Sonic and the Black Knight" - Wii
Reviewed by Mark for FamilyFriendlyGaming
SCORE: 87/100
Sonic and the Black Knight is an interesting sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings. Sonic gets transported back to the time of King Arthur. King Arthur is the bad guy and Sonic must save the land. Expect to find plenty of Sonic characters in this Wii title. Shadows, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and more make appearances. Sonic and the Black Knight has the same feel to it as the first game. Sonic goes running fast straight into levels. There are specific missions, and many levels are played through multiple times.
